I am co-hosting a webinar to talk about Long Term Care.  Many people do not want to talk about long term care because of the cost, and believing the need for long term care would never affect them.

The need to plan is more important now than ever before.  The cost of health care and long term care are on the rise, and not planning for this likely event could create a financial shortfall.

I have seen this financial shortfall with my mother’s mom. The family had to sell her farm to be able to pay for the cost of the nursing home.  She and my grandfather worked hard, did without so that they could pay off the farm to keep the land in the family. Unfortunately, their dream did not happen.

I personally provided care for my husband when he was very ill and unable to care for himself. If not for me, he would have had to be admitted into a long term care facility.

The need for long term care is real. We just do not know when the need will be there, or for how long.
