This is a time of challenge; some would say this is a frightening time. And to borrow a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt,
“A woman is like a tea bag; you never know how strong it is until it is hot water.”
The first thing you need to do is recognize how you feel about this challenge. Once you recognize your feelings, then you can be very intentional about how you handle yourself (you can only control yourself, the words you say and what you do).
Choose to do good. Be kind even when kindness is not expected. I really want to encourage you to be kind to yourself – what are the words you are saying to yourself? Take a deep breath, meditate, say kind words to yourself.
- Get moving
- Go outdoors and recognize the beauty surrounding you, intentionally look for the beauty
- Be aware of the woman you are becoming
You may feel like you are in “hot water”, or a challenging time, but you are also in a time to grow stronger in your confidence, in your self-esteem. First recognize this is not normal, know feeling frightened is okay, give yourself permission to have these feelings; but you do not have to stay in that feeling.
Be intentional in looking at the woman you are becoming during this uncertain time.
Do not be afraid to ask for help from professionals.
Be safe, be healthy and love yourself.
P.S. Confidence feels good!
